This year, Urpiner also scored well among small Slovak breweries, and in the 3rd edition of the tasting competition Slovak Craft Beer Cup 2024, it won an excellent first place in the light draft beer category with its Urpiner Classic 10° beer.
The competition took place at the ŽiWell brewery in Piešťany and was attended by 29 breweries in 15 categories. The competition was intended for small breweries with an annual production of up to 200,000 hl of beer. The competition beers were tasted by 23 judges at 7 tasting tables. A total of 158 beer samples were tasted, representing a 50% increase compared to last year.

Following this year’s unique success at the international tasting competition FRANKFURT INTERNATIONAL TROPHY, this is another of the many prestigious awards the brewery has received. Since 2006, the Banská Bystrica brewery and its Urpiner beers have won more than 50 quality awards in domestic and international competitions, such as EUROPEAN BEER STAR, FRANKFURT INTERNATIONAL TROPHY, BEER OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC, CZECH BEER SEAL, SLOVAK BEER CROWN, and SLOVAK CRAFT BEER CUP.
